Information

Register by phone, on-line, or by mail. Students may also register in person  Monday-Friday, 10-4. Enrollment is limited.


Registration is not complete until payment has been received. VISA or MASTERCARD is required for telephone registration.


A $25 non-refundable registration fee is included in tuition. If a student cancels a registration at least ten days before a course or workshop begins, a refund will be granted. If a cancellation occurs during the ten-day period, a refund will be offered if the Art Center is able to fill the student's place from a waiting list. If a waiting list is not available the Art Center may provide credit in a current or future offering. No portion of tuition will be refunded if a cancellation occurs after the beginning of a course.


In the case of insufficient enrollment in any course or workshop, students will be notified of the start date and will receive full refunds.


Membership Discount:

To receive a Member's discount for a course, your membership must be current throughout the semester of the course you are taking. Membership dues may be paid at the time of registration.


Financial Assistance:

Through the generosity of the Marion Huse Fund, we offer tuition assistance on the basis of financial need. Call for an application. All requests are kept strictly confidential.


Lois Weltman Memorial Fund for Children, is a memorial fund that provides scholarships for children in their elementary school years to attend art classes at SSAC. Scholarships are awarded on the basis of need.


Photographs:

Occasionally, the Art Center takes photographs of course participants during classes for inclusion in advertising and promotional materials. Should you have any objection to the use of photos of you or your children, please notify the Art Center office before your course begins.

 

Exhibition General Information
Picking up works.
The Art Center cannot store works beyond the designated pick-up dates. Artists who are not in contact with staff about a late pick-up within 7 days of the official dates will incur a $5 per day fee until the artwork is picked up. The fee  must be paid before or at pick-up.


Class Cancellations due to Bad Weather:

In the case of bad weather, classes are cancelled when the Cohasset Public School system is closed. If the Cohasset schools are running on a delayed schedules, our classes meet at the regular times throughout the day. When in doubt about adult evening classes please call for cancellation message, 781-383-2787 ext. 10.
